History
In Ramanathapuram District, we are the only college to impart the Hindi language. Though it is a remote region where people did not know the value of the language, we create awareness through our college to learn our National Language and explain its importance. Students from Tamil medium, who have no basic knowledge of Hindi, are also willing to learn the language.
The department library is stocked with 150 books to encourage students to read further. The department is equipped with a personal computer and educational CDs, which support ICT-enabled learning.
The department was established in 2007 to offer Part I Hindi for all Under Graduate courses.
- Papers for Skill Based Elective and Open Elective courses from the 2008 batch onwards
- Certificate course in Spoken Hindi from 2009 onwards
- Certificate course in Tourism from 2018 onwards
