Establishment of IQAC

Since October 2002 — Building quality culture

IQAC was established in October 2002 to internalize the quality parameters to be sustained in all areas of the Higher Educational institution. IQAC of TBAKC has stretched its wings since 2002 to strengthen and institutionalize its strengths for the growth of this institution.

About IQAC

IQAC has been trying to develop a quality system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution. The IQAC will continue to develop and apply quality benchmarks for the various academic and administrative activities in the coming years.

Coordinator's Desk

Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College for Women is a step towards Women Empowerment excellence for faculty, staff, and students. It conducts an open forum to provide an interface between students and administrators of the college. A continuous follow-up has been made on infrastructural resources of the college to assure adequate, appropriate and better facilities to assure a conducive and enabling environment for teaching, learning and research.

Structure & Functions

Organizational hierarchy and key responsibilities

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a facilitative and participatory organ of the institution. It is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities. It is the driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.

Institutional Distinctiveness

The prominent distinctive feature of this college is that it serves as the key factor of women empowerment in this region. Being the only autonomous college under Alagappa University, Karaikudi, it distinguishes its graduates by updating intellectual abilities through framing, reviewing and modernizing syllabi based on emerging trends. Muballiga Course (Religious Study) and Thirukkural are made compulsory for all students to increase their resilience to become morally fit to lead a healthy life.
